The City of Gulf Shores operates a drop-off recycling facility at 160 W. 36th Avenue where residents can sort and deposit recyclables into designated bins. The center accepts a broader range of materials than curbside pickup, including styrofoam, plastic bags, glass, scrap metal, and household batteries. Paint, electronics, and lightbulbs are accepted only on scheduled Special Recycling Days. The city also provides weekly curbside single-stream recycling pickup through Republic Services for residential addresses.
